Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The manuscript is original and unpublished, and is not under consideration for publication in other journals.
  • The submitted file was created in word processing software and can be edited (up to 2MB).
  • The text is double-spaced, in 12-point Arial font, figures and tables are inserted within the body of the text.
  • The manuscript and bibliography meet the requirements described in the Author Guidelines.
  • Any information that can identify the authors has been removed, including in the file properties.
  • All authors express their explicit agreement in the cover letter to submit the manuscript for publication.

Articles

Main section, for original and unpublished works.

Review Articles

Should  contain critical assessments of the literature on the subject.
In the final considerations, review articles should include the author’s position on the topic.

Scientific Notes

This is an alternative format for more concise description of results.
Conclusive results should be reported; preliminary data will not be accepted.

Copyright Notice

PFB reserves the right to edit manuscripts to correct grammar/spelling, improve clarity, and comply with the journal’s standards while maintaining the style of the authors.

The final version will be sent to the corresponding author for approval.

Published articles become the property of PFB.

Manuscripts may be used after publication without prior authorization from PFB, as long as the journal is credited.

Warning: figures published in PFB may only be reused with prior authorization from Embrapa Forestry.

The opinions and concepts expressed in manuscripts are the sole responsibility of their respective authors and not PFB.
