Artificial intelligence (AI) use policy

Authors:

  • PFB allows authors to use Artificial Intelligence tools for text improving, spelling and grammar correction, and citation and reference management and standardization.
  • The use of AI tools in the production of authorship content is prohibited. Authors are always responsible for the authorship content of submitted manuscripts.
  • The use of AI tools in the manipulation and generation of third-party images is prohibited.
  • All content generated by artificial intelligence (AI) must be carefully supervised and approved by the authors, who remain fully responsible for the content of the manuscript, even when AI tools are employed.
  • Authors who use AI tools must complete the Declaration of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies in the manuscript preparation process in the Letter to the Editor and in the specific field of the manuscript. Authors must clearly specify which tools were used and to which topics in the manuscript they were applied.
