The study aimed to evaluate production methods Genipa americana L. seedlings in tubes using wildlings rescued from natural regeneration. Seedlings measuring approximately 6 cm in height were collected from the canopy projections of mother trees and transplanted into 50 cm³ tubes. These seedlings were subjected to different growth conditions, consisting of the following treatments: T1 – Tubes in a suspended bed; and T2 – ¼, T3 – ½ and T4 – ¾ of the tube length buried in sand. At 210 days after transplantation, the survival rate, morphometric variables, and dry matter were evaluated. In treatments T2, T3, and T4, height growth was superior. T1 showed the highest Dickson Quality Index (DQI) and the lowest shoot dry mass to root dry mass ratio, differing statistically from the other treatments. Transplanting G. americana wildlings from natural regeneration into tubes is feasible, resulting in high survival rates and high-quality seedlings for field outplanting.
